Happy New Year, holiday schedule, and what to do when it finally snows……….

December 302011

Hard to believe it’s the end of another year already….  Grandma was right when she said that the older you get, the faster the time goes!  We hope you’ve all had a good year and that 2012 will be even better!  The park will be open on Monday, January 2nd, for CCC members only in honor of the New Year holiday.  The office is now closed for the weekend, and will be open by appointment only from January 3rd – early March.  Please contact us by email if possible, or phone 219-548-3604.  The park will be closed on Mondays as usual after the 2nd.

New snow rule:  When it snows enough that your driveway and/or sidewalk needs to be shoveled, the dog park will not open until 9:00 a.m.  This will give our plowing service time to do the parking lot with no cars in the lot, and our caretaker time to shovel and de-ice the entry gate!  If cars are parked in the lot when the plow truck arrives, they will be asked to leave.  Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

December 222011

We have all of our kids and both of our grandkids home for Christmas.  Each day is wonderful and chaotic! Surprised smile Today is the last day our office will be open before Christmas.  We will not be open on Saturday, Christmas Eve.  The park will be open for our members only on Monday, December 26th for the holiday, but the office will be closed as usual.  We’ll have normal office hours Dec. 27 – 29, but will be closed on Saturday, New Year’s Eve.  Then, our office will be closed, except by appointment, until early March!  Thanks to all of our members and visitors for a successful ninth year in business.  We sincerely appreciate your patronage and support.  We’ll see you next year!  Happy Holidays!

Congratulations and good luck to Leslie and Paris!

December 142011

We’re proud of our friend and long time agility instructor, Leslie Baumann, and her Lhasa Apso, Paris, who are on their way to Orlando, FL to compete in the AKC Agility Invitational.  The top dogs of each breed are invited to compete, and Paris (registered name ShiSedo Reverie AX AXJ NF) was ranked #7 Lhasa Apso in the country!  Paris is the second dog from Leslie’s breeding program (she is an owner, breeder, handler) to qualify for this prestigious invitational.   We wish them the best, but, like the Academy Awards, it truly is an honor just to be invited!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

The water in the park was turned off for the winter today.  Please remember to bring water from home.  There are some “warm” days forecast for the end of this week.  Also, we put the agility equipment away today.  The corn is out of the field and winter’s on the way!  Our office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.  Have a wonderful holiday!  We’re thankful for our members.
