GOOD NEWS and BAD NEWS...

September 20 2008

... as the saying goes.  The good news is, the water is finally receding in the park.  The flow from the Meadow Glen retention pond has finally slowed to a stop, the rushing water sound has quieted, and the water has exposed the 2 northernmost arborvitaes in the small dog area.  .  Grass is starting to peak through in the middle of the park.  The weekend  weather is supposed to be beautiful...  The bad news is, the park is no where near ready to open, and there are a flock of Canada geese that are taking over the place!  The best we can hope for is Tuesday, I'm afraid.  The corner of Sturdy and Division is still blocked off with the intersection totally submerged, although it is improving, and many more people chanced it today.  For Monday obedience students, we recommend that you approach on Sturdy Rd. from the north.  Mother Nature has sure dished out rough weather for us this year.  Thanks again for your patience and understanding.  We will be around the office most of the day tomorrow, but suggest you call first before driving out here.  Also, we are planning on the Dachshund Dash again this year, and will announce next week the day we've chosen.  I'll be back by Monday night
